On July 2nd 2024 the financing contract of the standard project Karst Firewall 5.0 was signed by the Managing Authorithy of the Interreg VI-A Italy Slovenia Programme!
Project Karst Firewall 5.0 addresses two challenges in the program area: wildfires and their governance. It aims to develop innovative action plans to preserve the health of the Karst region and maximize its resilience, with a forward-looking approach. Given the transboundary nature of the Karst area it is crucial to promote cross-border cooperation between both countries. Which is essential to address the urgent need for wildfire risk reduction and the development of timely response strategies.
Lead Partner is University IUAV from Venice in collaboration with 5 project partners and 8 associated partners.
