We are pleased to present the official presentation video of the Karst Firewall 5.0 project, which clearly and comprehensively showcases how cross-border cooperation, scientific analysis, technological tools, and active community engagement contribute to strengthening fire resilience in the Karst region.
The video provides insight into the project’s key objectives, including reducing vulnerability to wildfires, improving the preparedness of local communities, and developing innovative solutions for fire prevention and early detection. It also highlights the cooperation between Slovenian and Italian partners and emphasizes the importance of connecting knowledge, experience, and local practices in addressing the challenges of climate change.
Karst Firewall 5.0 brings together spatial planning, the use of GIS tools, satellite imagery and drones, participatory processes, and concrete on-the-ground measures. Special attention is given to prevention – everyday landscape management, responsible individual behavior, and effective institutional cooperation.
The presentation video demonstrates how joint action, timely response, and an innovative approach can help build a safer and more resilient future for the Karst region.
