Karst gmajna Festival

Spring invites once again to one of the oldest cultural landscapes in Europe, where nature and people intertwine in a unique way, with the Karst gmajna Festival. The festival of nature and heritage tourism invites you to discover the rich biodiversity of the Karst and Brkini region and its exceptional cultural heritage. From 18 April to 18 May 2025, various forms of discovering the Karst groves in the area of the emerging cross-border Kras-Carso Geopark are organised, and all festival events will be free of charge for visitors.

The festival includes thematic hikes, bike rides, workshops and culinary experiences highlighting the rich interplay between nature and man. This year's festival consists of 11 events, which can be viewed in more detail on the website www.visitkras.info

The Karst gmajna Festival is once again co-organised by various organisations working in the field of tourism; ORA Krasa in Brkinov has taken on the role of the main organiser and coordinator of the festival. The co-organisers of the festival are: the Škocjan Caves Park, Kobilarna Lipica, the Geological Service of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Curiosi di natura soc. coop., the Kras-Brkini Beekeeping, Petra Pika Može, GremoZeleno Agency, vrt Škrbina Society and Institut Pastirica.
