‘Lâ di là / Andare oltre’ is the project developed by the Municipality of Chions thanks to the Call of proposals for the creation of literary tourism itineraries in Friuli Venezia Giulia, promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Regione, within the framework of the DANTE Project.
Thanks to this initiative, the Municipality of Chions embarked on a journey to enhance and promote the site of the ‘Torrate’, a place of remarkable natural and historical significance that also serves as a natural border. At least, this is how Pier Paolo Pasolini perceived it in his works. This site inspired the idea of a project that starts from a literary threshold-place, a symbol of diversity such as Torrate, and connects it with other locations across Friuli through the authors who experienced and narrated them in their works.
Several cultural activities were organised as part of the project:
- 15 November 2025: a public reading of texts dedicated to Friulian landscapes held at the tower;
- An exhibition featuring works by young local artists;
- 13 February 2026: presentation of the exhibition catalogue Lâ di là together with the launch of the literary-tourism itinerary developed at Torrate.
