Today, on Thursday, October 23, an important meeting took place between representatives of the Slovenian regional economic association (SDGZ-URES), the Municipality of Savogna d’Isonzo and the TRG Vipava Tourism Board to finalize the details for the signage of the new cross-border hiking and cycling trail. This route will connect the source of the Vipava River in the Municipality of Vipava to its mouth in the Municipality of Savogna d’Isonzo, creating a unique path that allows visitors to explore the area’s natural beauty while strengthening connections between the local communities.
During the meeting, ideas for upcoming joint events next year were also discussed, aimed at promoting active tourism and cultural exchange between residents of both municipalities. These activities are part of the Interreg project BEroots – Between Rivers and Lagoons: Artistic Routes, which aim is to encourage exploration, social interaction, and the enhancement of natural and cultural heritage.
The BEroots project aims to create connections between people and places, encourage an active lifestyle through hiking and cycling, and promote the discovery of cultural experiences along the route.
