In a world where climate uncertainty is becoming the new normal, businesses can no longer afford to remain reactive. Heatwaves, floods, and energy disruptions are not distant risks … they are present-day challenges shaping operational stability and profitability. The question is no longer if your company will be affected, but how prepared you are.
The CLIMASAFE project was created to help energy-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) better understand the climate risks affecting their operations and take practical steps to prepare for them.
Through this open call we invite SMEs to take a proactive step toward resilience—through this unique opportunity selected companies will receive an energy assessment and tailored recommendations designed to strengthen their resilience.
Who is this opportunity for?
This open call is tailored for SMEs operating in regions where energy demand and climate exposure intersect. Eligible applicants include companies based in:
the Italian province of Venice and Friuli Venezia Giulia
selected Slovenian regions, including Primorsko-notranjska, Osrednjeslovenska, Gorenjska, Obalno-kraška and Goriška
Particularly encouraged are businesses in energy-intensive sectors such as agri-food, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, and furniture manufacturing—industries where energy reliability is critical to success.
Why Participate?
Participation in CLIMASAFE is more than an assessment—it is a strategic advantage. Selected companies will receive:
energy assessment and receive tailored recommendations on contingency measures to strengthen their resilience.
The process is designed to be simple, confidential, and designed to provide useful insights without creating unnecessary administrative burden. Your company will be invited to complete a questionnaire or take part in a short interview, either online or in person. Based on your responses, CLIMASAFE experts will prepare an energy assessment with practical guidance on how to reduce current and future climate-related risks.
All information shared during the application and assessment process will be treated with strict confidentiality and handled in full compliance with GDPR regulations. Your data will only be used for project-related purposes and accessed exclusively by authorized experts.
