On Friday, December 19, 2025, a participatory workshop using the World Café method took place at the Izola Cultural Centre, Slovenia, aimed at preparing a joint action plan. The workshop was organized as part of the DANTE project, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme.
The event began with an introduction to the workshop structure and a summary of the main open issues from the Cross-Border Strategy. Special emphasis was placed on the significance and influence of the poet Dante Alighieri for the cross-border area of Italy and Slovenia. That was followed by the main activity – the World Café, a workshop format that enabled participants to exchange ideas and develop proposals for the joint action plan. The workshop concluded with a summary of findings, after which stakeholders had the opportunity to network over refreshments.
The workshop was held in Slovene, as two parallel workshops in Italian will take place in the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions in the first half of 2026.
