Thanks to the call for proposals for the creation of literary tourism itineraries in Friuli Venezia Giulia, promoted by the of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region as part of the activities of the European project DANTE, the Municipality of Magnano in Riviera has carried out the project ‘Dante a Magnano: una notte al castello a portata di click’.
At the heart of the cultural initiative is Prampero Castle, a thousand-year-old fortress and symbol of the region, featured in a narrative inspired by Dante Alighieri’s stays in the castles of central and northern Italy during his exile. It is precisely this inspiration that has given rise to an innovative cultural trail blending history, literature and digital technologies, offering visitors a unique experience of discovery and storytelling.
Adding a poetic dimension to the app and to the idea of Dante’s possible passage through Friuli and Magnano on the Riviera are the writings of Paolo Gambi, poet and writer, a voice for Dante’s verses and imagination, which transform the app into a cultural experience capable of combining poetry with a historical journey through truth and legend.
