As part of the AidMIRE project, Izola General Hospital has acquired two advanced simulation mannequins– a "newborn" and a "child" – to support training in resuscitation techniques. Since children, particularly newborns, require significantly different resuscitation approaches compared to adults, regular and frequent skills updates are essential, especially given the rare but critical nature of pediatric resuscitation.
Izola General Hospital is currently conducting a series of internal workshops on both basic and advanced resuscitation procedures for newborns and children. These sessions are led by Dr. Alenka Stepišnik, MD, Head of the Pediatrics Department and specialist. Training will continue on a regular basis even after the conclusion of the AidMIRE project.
The workshops are organized as part of the activities of the AidMIRE project Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme and provide participants with an excellent opportunity to update their knowledge and gain new practical experience.
