On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, the second partner meeting of the HeatIslands Adapt project was successfully held in Venice, within the framework of the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme. The meeting, hosted by Strategy Innovation, took place in a constructive and work-oriented atmosphere, with the main objective of reviewing project progress and aligning on next steps.
The morning session focused on a thematic overview of the work packages. The Lead Partner opened the meeting with a general project update, followed by presentations on the progress of activities within WP1, WP2 and WP3. Partners discussed achieved results, highlighted key challenges, and agreed on upcoming tasks and timelines. Special attention was also given to communication activities, with a review of actions implemented so far and planning of next steps to further enhance the visibility of the project and its results.
In the afternoon, partners were presented with the financial overview of the project and information regarding the upcoming reporting period, followed by a Q&A session. The meeting concluded with the Steering Committee session, during which key orientations for the continuation of the project were confirmed.
The second partner meeting proved to be an important milestone for strengthening content-related and organisational coordination among partners, as well as for further consolidating cross-border cooperation aimed at adapting urban areas to the increasingly evident impacts of heat stress caused by climate change.
