Third Meeting of Walk of Peace Project Partners Held
At the third meeting of the Walk of Peace+ project partners, co-financed under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia program, participants presented their work and exchanged key findings regarding future activities. The project partners achieved approximately 25% of the allocated budget expenditure, which meets the program’s requirements for the first year. Special emphasis was placed on the need to accelerate infrastructural works at the Grmada summit to allow other partners to carry out their planned activities.
Among the key achievements highlighted were the organization of school events, the development of the Walk of Peace app, the mapping of routes around Grmada, and the printing of promotional materials. The Soča Valley Development Centre organized a Peace concert, while the Walk of Peace Foundation began preparing maps and organizing upcoming workshops.
The next activities include organizing workshops with schools, completing the brand book, and holding a promotional event at Kolovrat. The partners agreed to further accelerate their activities and work closely with local authorities to ensure timely project implementation.
The project continues to meet its goals and strengthens cross-border cooperation in preserving historical and cultural heritage while promoting sustainable tourism.
