On 15 June 2026, the third partner meeting of the HeatIslands Adapt project took place in Ljubljana within the framework of the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme. The meeting was hosted by the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO) and provided an opportunity for partners to review project progress and coordinate upcoming activities.
The meeting opened with a general project overview presented by the Lead Partner, highlighting the main achievements reached so far and outlining the next implementation steps. Partners then presented the progress achieved under Work Packages WP1, WP2 and WP3, discussing key results, challenges encountered and planned activities for the coming months.
Particular attention was dedicated to communication and dissemination activities. Partners reviewed the actions implemented to date and agreed on future measures aimed at increasing the visibility of the project and promoting its results among stakeholders and the wider public.
The financial status of the project and information regarding the upcoming reporting period were also presented and discussed. The meeting concluded with a Steering Committee session, during which partners confirmed the strategic directions for the next phase of project implementation.
HeatIslands Adapt continues to support the development of joint cross-border solutions to address the increasing impacts of heatwaves and urban heat islands, contributing to greater climate resilience and improved quality of life in urban areas across the Italy–Slovenia cooperation area.
