GO! STUDIO
The "GO!STUDIO" project aims at enhancing the skills related to the economics and the culture of the audiovisual (AV) sector of the young people living in the cross-border territory by improving the availability of equipment and by training human resources. The activities include cinematographic training courses and workshops. In particular, two cinematographic and two animation training courses are planned for the development of authorial and production skills under the guidance of regional and internationally renowned authors. Moreover there will be two 10-month training courses for young cinematographic education trainers and two 10-months courses for cultural-based AV support activities. The "GO!STUDIO" project, which is related to the CEC 2025 programme, is a social innovation, as it empowers young people from the cross-border region through various joint trainings throughout the entire life cycle of a film. This project will strengthen the principles of lifelong learning and transversal skills such as cooperation.
The GO! STUDIO project aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation in the audiovisual sector through the establishment of a shared solution, a studio for AV production and the implementation of training activities, as well as through the delivery of joint training programmes for young people. The project contributed to the improvement of digital and film-related skills and, by promoting social innovation, strengthened economic capacities in the fields of audiovisual culture and sustainable tourism within the programme area.
A studio equipped with facilities specifically designed to support training activities and cross-border cooperation in the fields of audiovisual production (animation and filmmaking) and photography was established. Through the equipment and resources provided by the studio, a shared solution was developed to strengthen the role of audiovisual culture in economic development and social innovation within the programme area.
Several filmmaking workshops were organised, including a docufiction workshop, a workshop on lighting, illumination and camera techniques and a filmmaking workshop at the Academy of Arts of the University of Nova Gorica, involving a total of 61 participants.
In addition, several animation workshops were carried out, including an international animation workshop, a workshop on pixilation and choreography as non-verbal storytelling and a stop-motion animation workshop at the University of Nova Gorica, with 51 participants.
Several masterclasses were held between Gorizia and Nova Gorica, attracting more than 250 participants, as well as two training courses for audiovisual educators with 32 participants.
Two study visits were organised in connection with the Trieste Film Festival and the Berlinale Film Festival.
An in memoriam evening dedicated to Béla Tarr was also organised.
