The "GO2FLY" project aims at developing sustainable sports tourism through cross-border hang gliding and paragliding flights in both physical and virtual modes. The goal is to unite the airfields in Italy and Slovenia through a touristic, social and technological development initiative that overcomes the boundaries on the ground as the athletes do while they are flying. The project will promote the creation in the local territories of a common system of structures, equipment, accommodation and services both in the air and on the ground, to propose an integrated touristic offer (currently anavailable) to users. There are three key points: the development of joint flight experiences, the creation of an integrated tourist offer package, and the development of a virtual flight system.  Cross-border cooperation between a the municipal structure and a public tourism office, with the involvement of local sports associations, is the approach to obtain these results and generate the project outputs.
