GO(d)BA 2025
The GO(d)BA project aims to create a cross-border wind orchestra to strengthen the cultural image in the border area between Nova Gorica and Gorica. Collaborating with the Chemnitz orchestra, the project will organize concerts, international exchanges and contribute to the European City of Culture in 2025. The orchestra will promote cultural diversity through a high-quality music program, involving young people and boosting cross-border tourism. The project aims to promote social inclusion, preserve the musical tradition and stimulate the local economy. The cross-border wind orchestra will be an opportunity for stable collaboration and enrich cultural activities beyond the Gorizia area.
The goals of the project were:
- To promote the social engagement of musicians and music creators of all generations across the cross-border area through the establishment of the project-based cross-border wind orchestra GO(d)BA 2025.
To enrich the cultural offering in the border area and beyond through the creation of the project-based cross-border wind orchestra.
- To organise three series of themed concerts aimed at increasing the visibility of the cross-border wind orchestra within the cultural scene of the border area and more broadly at European level:
- 10 promotional concerts in the cross-border area, aimed at enriching the cultural offering;
- 4 large-scale evening concerts;
- 2 tours abroad.

A total of 16 concerts were organised: 6 in Gorizia, 3 in Nova Gorica, 1 in Piazza Transalpina/Trg Evrope, and a further 6 in other locations across Slovenia and Italy.
