The GREEN2GETHER project promotes cross-border cooperation between the Brda and Collio regions of Slovenia and Italy, with the aim of preserving the cultural landscape's natural and biological diversity. The project connects schools, local communities and young people, who act as "Green Ambassadors", through experiential learning and cultural and nature conservation activities. It also promotes the appreciation of water and green spaces, including the Krčnik Nature Reserve. The project's main objectives are to enhance the environmental awareness, creativity, and skills of young people and teachers, and to encourage sustainable development, social inclusion, and the collaboration of schools, municipalities, and local stakeholders. Key activities include establishing a cross-border educational programme, creating an educational trail showcasing traditional Brda varieties, developing school eco-gardens, implementing four public cross-border events, holding mobile workshops in nature, and preparing a handbook and digital materials.
