The common challenges of climate change also affect the cross-border area of Nova Gorica and Gorica, in order to reduce gas emissions and forms of pollution the partners CZT (LP) and the Municipality of Gorica (PP) are working together to implement the GREEN2GO project, which involves the development of a cross-border sustainable mobility plan that will include the necessary infrastructure to promote the use of bicycles. The main impact of the project is the pilot installation of 4 innovative City Box stations, 2 in Nova Gorica and 2 in Gorica. The main innovation lies in the installation and use of the innovative City Boxes, which enable safe storage of bicycles and use of smart technologies such as electronic locking and app-based management. These bicycle boxes will be placed at strategic locations in Nova Gorica and Gorica, allowing easy access and promoting cycling as a form of sustainable mobility.
