The PARLAGO project, also known as the Children's Parliament of the Two Gorizias, promotes cross-border cooperation between children and young people from Gorizia and Nova Gorica. The project strengthens active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and environmental responsibility. The project's goal is to establish a stable shared space where young people can exchange ideas, collaborate, and develop joint proposals on topics such as the environment, cultural heritage, sustainable development, coexistence, and social participation. Based on the children's parliament model, the project extends this to a cross-border level through meetings, workshops, joint discussions between children and mentors, educational and creative activities, and the creation of a network of schools and organisations in both countries. Plans also include a digital platform for collaborative work and a final cross-border event, where young people will present their recommendations and ideas to local decision-makers. The structures created will ensure continuity and collaboration beyond the duration of the project.
