START
The START project aims to address the low capacity for innovation and lack of technical and scientific skills in the Nova Gorica–Gorizia cross-border area by investing in the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of younger generations. The project aims to introduce children and young people to science, technology, and future professions through practical learning and experimentation. The project involves establishing the first cross-border centre for science, technology and youth creativity. This centre will be equipped with interactive laboratories and advanced technologies, including robotics, 3D printing, electronics and virtual reality. Activities include setting up and launching the centre, developing training programmes and joint workshops, and organising a final cross-border hackathon. During this event, young Italians and Slovenians will work together to develop prototypes and innovative solutions. START combines technical infrastructure and shared pedagogical methodologies to promote collaboration, experiential learning, and long-term competitiveness in crossborder region.
