As part of the project, the Slovenian part of the cross-border rescue exercise “Lost Hikers – Vodice” took place in the area of Vodice in the Municipality of Ajdovščina. At the conclusion of the project, the exercise represented an important demonstration of successful cooperation and coordinated action among emergency response services. Italian representatives also participated in the exercise, further highlighting the cross-border nature of the project and cooperation between the two countries.
During the exercise, participating teams tested their preparedness, training, and response effectiveness in natural environment interventions. Search and rescue dogs, thermal imaging drones, off-road vehicles, quad bikes, and an SOS emergency call point,
which the Municipality of Ajdovščina acquired as part of the project.
