INVITATION

You are kindly invited to the 2nd “Tabr” Festival of Castellieri, organised within the KAŠTellieri project: Sustainable cultural and tourism destination: The Cross-Border Land of Prehistoric Hillforts (Kaštelirji) of the Upper Adriatic.
The project is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme.

The event will take place on Saturday, 13 June 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. in Vojščica, Karst region

PROGRAMME

08:00 – Mountain biking along the Kaštelir Trail

A guided mountain bike tour of medium difficulty (approx. 30 km), lasting around 4 hours.
Helmets are mandatory. Participation is at your own risk.
Meeting point: in front of the church in Vojščica.

09:00 – Guided hike from hillfort to hillfort

A medium-difficulty hike of approximately 8 km, lasting around 3 hours.
We recommend suitable hiking footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. Participation is at your own risk.
Meeting point: Kal event area in Vojščica.

  • Dr. Maša Saccara – Hillforts (Kaštelirji) in the Slovenian part of Istria 

  • Dr. Tomaž Fabec – Prehistoric hunting megastructures in the Karst 

19:30 – Vocal performance by Ljoba Jenče

A unique performance by an artist who has dedicated her life to preserving the musical, cultural and spiritual heritage of our ancestors.

21:00 – Performance by Klapa Škvadra
