The Association of Municipalities of Slovenia (SOS), in cooperation with the Municipality of Ajdovščina, is organizing a tour of good practices in the field of active energy communities at three locations in Slovenia. The purpose of the excursion is to empower the professional staff of Slovenian municipal administrations and local and regional agencies in the field of the importance of local energy communities for self-sufficiency in electricity, the process of establishing energy communities (according to the bottom-up principle), the spatial planning of renewable energy source (RES) projects, the presentation of community forms and the issue of energy billing under the new ZSROVE, when there is no longer any netting and in the case of community self-sufficiency, all based on examples of good practices in Slovenia.
The field trip will be supported by the knowledge and experience of numerous Slovenian experts in the field of RES and energy efficiency, and the entire event will be coordinated by Mr. Rajko Leban, coordinator of the RES and Energy Efficiency Network at SOS.
