On Thursday, 23 July 2026, starting at 1:30 p.m., the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology – ICGEB in Trieste will host the final meeting of COHERENCE, a project co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to review the work carried out by the Italian and Slovenian partners, present the results achieved and reflect on the added value of cross-border cooperation in the development and regulation of advanced therapies.

During the afternoon, the main project outcomes will be presented, including the cross-border platform for advanced therapies and the pilot action on the use of adipose tissue cells for the treatment of hard-to-heal wounds. The event will also explore the potential to replicate the experience and transfer the solutions developed to other clinical and regional contexts.

The programme will also include a session dedicated to project management, communication and final reporting, followed by a question-and-answer discussion with participants.

The event will be held at the ICGEB premises in Padriciano 99, Trieste, and will mark the conclusion of a journey that brought together scientific research, clinical expertise, technological innovation and regulatory dialogue, with the aim of bringing advanced therapies closer to clinical practice and patients’ needs.
