The Inter Bike III project upgrades the network of cycling routes in the cross-border area and improves the services for cyclists. One of the important results of the project has been the alignment of the D7 long-distance cycle route between the border crossings of Robič and Jelšane and its connection to neighbouring Friuli and the Kvarner. A new tourism product, the Alpina-Mediterranean Cycle Route, has been created, linking the three countries and offering cyclists a unique experience of travelling from the Julian Alps to the Adriatic. In order to provide visitors cycling friendly services, the project partner, the Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica, is organising educational events for tourism stakeholders along the route.

The first one will take place on Wednesday 14 May 2025 in Cerje in the Monument of peace, Lokvica 18, Miren, at 9.00 a.m. and the second one on Friday 16 May 2025 in Tolmin in the Gallery Kinogledališče, Mestni trg 5, at 9.00 a.m.

You are welcome to attend. Please confirm your attendance by e-mail: simon.jenko@ilirska-bistrica.si.
