I suoni della pace / Zvoki miru / The Sounds of Peace

You are warmly invited to the second event of the “Sounds of Peace” series – this time on the Italian side of the border.

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, a concert by Neri Marcorè will take place at the open-air museum “Valley of the XV Bersaglieri” (Dolina del XV Bersaglieri), starting at 6:00 PM.

🎸 Domenico Mariorenzi – acoustic guitar, bouzouki, vocals
🎻 Anaïs Drago – violin, vocals
🎻 Chiara di Benedetto – cello, vocals

As part of the accompanying program, guided walks along the Walk of Peace will also be organized, exploring the historical areas of Redipuglia, Monte San Michele (Debela griža), and the Valley of the Bersaglieri.

PROGRAM

FULL-DAY WALK (16 km)

• 8:45 AM – Gathering at the IAT Visitor Center in Redipuglia, registration, and distribution of materials

• 9:00 AM – Guided walk along section no. 10 of the Walk of Peace: Redipuglia – Monte San Michele – battlefields – open-air museum

• 1:30 PM – Lunch near Monte San Michele (front-style meal)

• 2:30 PM – Return walk via Karst trails

• 5:00 PM – Arrival at the Valley of the Bersaglieri and refreshments

📏 Length: 16 km
⛰️ Elevation gain: approx. 250 m
🥾 Difficulty: easy hiking trail

HALF-DAY WALK (4 km)

• 2:30 PM – Gathering at the IAT Visitor Center in Redipuglia

• 2:45–3:15 PM – Guided tours (in small groups): ossuary, Mazzoli trench, Monte Sei Busi

• 5:15 PM – Arrival near the Valley of the Bersaglieri and refreshments

📏 Length: 4 km
⛰️ Elevation gain: approx. 100 m
🚶 Difficulty: easy tourist trail

  👥 Limited spaces (25 for full-day, 150 for half-day program)

• Recommended gear: comfortable hiking or sports shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sun/rain protection, water, and snacks

• In case of rain:

  • Walks and tours will be cancelled

  • The concert will be held at the Municipal Theatre in Cormòns (Via Nazario Sauro 17) at 6:00 PM

• Languages: Guided tours in Slovenian and Italian
