We are pleased to invite you to the first of two Plenary Forums of the BEBLUE – Beyond Bluegrass: 2023–2025 – Strengthening Sustainable Agri-Food Systems through Aquaponics project (co-financed by the European Union under the INTERREG VI-A IT-SI 2021–2027 programme, ITA-SI0100069).
This event marks the conclusion of two participatory processes: one focused on aquaponic production and the other on the market and consumption of aquaponic products.
The meeting will take place on May 27 at the Urban Center in Trieste, located at Corso Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour 2/2, starting at 9:30 AM and ending at 1:15 PM. (Join us when you can, but try to be present for the key moments.)

What to expect?
For the first time, the results of two years of consultations and discussions with a wide range of stakeholders – from experts to newcomers – will be presented. Topics include water cycles, fish farming, and plant cultivation in both saltwater and freshwater aquaponic systems.
In addition, project partners will present in-depth insights into technical aspects, market trends, consumer perspectives, and investment opportunities, including available funding options for aquaponic systems.
This Plenary Forum is aimed at producers, researchers, representatives of trade associations and agri-food organizations, as well as anyone interested in agricultural innovation and sustainable development.
