Musical and literary evening: On with the song!

We invite you to a musical and literary evening about the life and work of the poet, musician and politician Miroslav Vilhar. The event is organised within the framework of the TARTINI BIS project, Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia. On a remarkable Saturday evening, you will have the opportunity to experience for yourself how important and resonant the Slovenian word is, but above all, you will enjoy 13 songs by Vilhar, recently arranged by violinist Zdravko Pleše and performed by the Ensemble Contemporanea 21 and the evening's guests: soprano Kristina Kolar and the female choir Sklad from Bakar. During the event, Tartini's variation on the theme of the Slovenian folk song »Čuk se je oženil« will also be presented. The theatre actress Marijana Brecelj will narrate.

See you on Saturday, September 7th at 20:00 at Krpanov Dom in Pivka, Prečna ulica 1, Pivka.

You can also come a few hours earlier and join the traditional hike »Vilharjeva Pot« (In the Footsteps of Vilhar), starting at 15:45 in Zagorje (Stari Tišler bar). As part of the hike, at 17:20 you can attend the musical interpretation workshop »Vilharjev naboj« (Vilhar's Charge) at Kalec Castle.
