“Attraversamenti/Prehajanja” by Gorizia-based artist Annibel Cunoldi Attems is the new exhibition opening on Friday 15 May at 6 pm at the CREW space.
Active on the international stage, Annibel Cunoldi Attems is at the forefront of an artistic practice that intertwines language, space and memory, spanning graphic art, painting, photography and installation.
Following her art studies in Paris and a degree in German language and literature, the artist began her career in the 1970s, focusing in particular on printmaking. From the 1980s onwards, with the introduction of the theme of “mental prisons”, her work shifted towards an exploration of the boundaries that shape space and thought. During her time in Rome (1983–1990), her painting expanded to large-scale works, taking on a strong architectural quality.
