The Science and Research Centre Koper cordially invites you to an event organized within the framework of the POSEIDONE project and in celebration of Earth Day “Presentation of the Pilot Orchard of Local Olive Genetic Resources and Workshop on Local Olive Varieties”

The event will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM in the village of Marezige, near Koper.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the pilot orchard of local olive genetic resources and attend a presentation on the following topics:

the impact of climate change on olive growing,
the importance of local olive varieties,
and the conservation of olive genetic resources.

The event will also include a tasting of selected olive oils and table olives produced from local varieties. More information about the event can be found in the attached invitation.
