On Friday, March 7th, CEFAP of Codroipo will host a lesson dedicated to the knowledge and protection of groundwater and the secondary hydrographic network. The event will feature Chiara Scain, researcher at OGS, a partner institute of the WABIN project.
The lecture will provide students with practical and theoretical insights to understand the value of groundwater and the importance of proper agricultural land management, with particular focus on the conservation of the rural landscape and the prevention of hydrogeological instability. As part of the educational path, the class will have the opportunity to create works to submit to the Wigwam Prize for the Italian Press – now in its fourth edition – which invites young people under 25, schools, and youth groups to share good practices, projects, and ideas dedicated to environmental sustainability and territorial resilience. The 2024 edition includes two prizes promoted by the WABIN project, titled: “Water to drink, water to work, and water to live” and “The culture of the ditch”.
This activity is part of the dissemination and awareness-raising actions for the protection of water resources foreseen by the project.
