8:00 PM – Musical-Film Performance – “Beyond Zero: 1914–1918”
“Beyond Zero: 1914–1918” is a project by Serbian-American composer Aleksandra Vrebalov and American filmmaker Bill Morrison, created in 2014 – a universal artistic reflection that transcends time. The project combines film and music: Morrison assembled a powerful and moving film from archival footage of World War I, while Vrebalov composed an original piece for string quartet specifically for this work.

In her composition, the composer weaves in significant musical elements from that era, conveying a clear message: "Never again war!"
The music will be performed live by the renowned Austrian ensemble Acies Quartett.

“Beyond Zero: 1914–1918” is part of the project Art Against the Rifle, produced by Zveza Mink Tolmin, and is included in the official program of the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 Nova Gorica – Gorizia.

ADMISSION IS FREE.
