The National Institute of Biology, a partner in the Interreg BEE2GETHER project, hosted a Doors Open Day at the end of September 2024. During the event, over 550 high school students from 19 different schools had the unique opportunity to step into the role of scientists for the day.
Three groups of students were also introduced to the Interreg BEE2GETHER project, specifically the mysterious lives of wild bees, their crucial role in ecosystems, agriculture, and urban environments, as well as environmental monitoring using solitary bees.
Disseminating knowledge is crucial in shaping young minds, and we hope they left with new insights and appreciation for pollinators and biodiversity.
