The 6th meeting of the BeWoP project partners took place on 23 April 2026 at the premises of EGTC GO in Gorizia/Gorica. Representatives of all project partners attended the meeting, while some participants joined remotely.
The meeting began with a review of the progress of project activities and the project’s financial implementation up to the end of the 4th reporting period, which currently amounts to 55.6% of the total project budget. Planned reallocations of funds between partners and activities were also discussed.
An important part of the discussion focused on the preparation of investments in the Sabotin area and the redevelopment of the surroundings of the Cerje Peace Monument. Activities related to promotion, event organisation, and the development of project content were also coordinated.
Within the framework of the project, additional cross-border events, lectures, and presentations with simultaneous interpretation will once again be organised this year as part of the eStoria Festival. PromoTurismoFVG will support promotional activities in both Italian and Slovenian media, as well as the production of promotional photos and videos.
The partners also discussed the upgrade of the Walk of Peace mobile application, the organisation of a study visit to Ypres, and the preparation of the final BeWoP event planned for the conclusion of the project in April 2027.
By the end of June 2026, the management strategy for the Walk of Peace will also be completed, while project partners continue implementing activities in accordance with the planned project timeline.
