At the Olio Capitale fair in Trieste, within the framework of the AI-GRAPE project, an event was held focusing on digital technologies, artificial intelligence and knowledge transfer across different agricultural sectors. The event brought together researchers, experts and producers from Slovenia and Italy to discuss how digital solutions can help address the challenges of modern agriculture.
Particular attention was given to the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence for pest monitoring, support in agronomic decision-making and sustainable vineyard management. A key aspect of the AI-GRAPE project is also the transfer of knowledge from viticulture to other agricultural sectors, such as olive growing.
During the event, the AI-GRAPE Digital Advisory Point was officially presented for the first time. This platform enables direct interaction between producers, researchers and project experts, providing access to information, practical advice and solutions developed within the project.
The objective of the AI-GRAPE project is to develop and transfer innovative digital solutions for agriculture, particularly through the use of artificial intelligence for pest monitoring, sustainable vineyard management and knowledge transfer to other agricultural sectors.
A fundamental goal is to ensure that project results do not remain only at the research level, but are effectively implemented in practice – directly in the field and by producers.
Through the developed digital tools, the AI-GRAPE project supports producers with faster and more informed decision-making, early pest detection, more effective crop protection and a more sustainable use of natural resources.
