In December 2025, several key decisions and coordination activities advanced the implementation of the ALL-MICRO project.
On 16 December, the Joint Secretariat approved the project prolongation and the changes to Activity 3.2, providing the formal basis for the continuation of project activities, completion of pilot studies, and organisation of upcoming events.
On the same day, the Board of Experts met online to evaluate a pilot study request aimed at complementing UNG’s cross-section polishing technique with SEM-FIB analysis. Due to temporary unavailability of SEM-FIB at CNR-IOM, access to plasma-FIB and/or Ga-FIB facilities in Ljubljana was agreed. UNG will proceed with sample preparation, and selected samples will be analysed starting from early January 2026.
Earlier, on 12 December, the Management Board met online
to address key implementation issues, including:
- project prolongation and contracts,
- dissemination activities,
preparation of the Winter School on Electron Microscopy (Slovenia, 2–5 February 2026) announcement on our portal,
- planning of Open Days for companies,
- and the organisation of a future in-person network meeting, provisionally planned for February 2026 in Ljubljana.
The Lead Partner will submit the financial report in January 2026. The remaining milestones—Winter School, Open Days, and selected pilot project reports—will be completed during the final phase of the project. Discussions on the future development of the ALL-MICRO network are planned for the upcoming in-person meeting.
