BEST officially opens registration for Pilot Actions, individual support programmes designed to support the development of innovative tourism projects in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia.
This is a concrete opportunity to transform an idea into a structured project, thanks to the direct support of expert consultants and the application of the innovative Innovation Catalyst methodology, already at the heart of BEST training activities.
WHAT ARE THE BEST PILOT ACTIONS?
The Pilot Actions represent one of the key outputs of the BEST project – Pathway for BEtter, Sustainable and connected Territory and provide voucher support for the development of pilot ideas, with the aim of guiding operators towards innovative, digital and green solutions.
This is a true personalized pathway that will help companies and professionals to:
develop or strengthen a tourism project on the Italy-Slovenia border;
integrate creative and innovative approaches into their offering;
improve competitive positioning from a cross-border perspective;
enter a network of operators who are building an innovative and connected destination.
WHO THEY ARE FOR / WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
The Pilot Actions are primarily aimed at participants of the BEST training courses active in Italy and Slovenia, but they are open to all tourism operators in the cross-border area who have a project to develop.
3 Italian entities and 3 Slovenian entities will be able to access the pilot actions, which will be selected based on the evaluation grid that you can find below the article.
In particular, the following can apply:
SMEs in the tourism sector (hotels, restaurants, agritourism businesses, wine bars, experiential services);
cultural operators;
tourism promotion organizations;
tourist guides and sector consultants;
local providers active in the creation of tourism and cultural content.
The objective is to strengthen the capacity of local operators to develop innovative, sustainable and integrated solutions, contributing to the creation of a more visible and competitive cross-border offer .
A CONCRETE ADVANTAGE COMPARED TO OTHER INITIATIVES
The Pilot Actions are part of a broader pathway that distinguishes BEST from other training proposals:
Free workshops to discover innovative tools and approaches;
A structured training pathway based on the Innovation Catalyst methodology (both the Italian and the Slovenian editions have just started!)
Individual support to transform ideas into concrete projects;
Cross-border networking, both during in-person activities and during the final project events.
A complete pathway that starts from needs analysis and arrives at concrete experimentation, with the objective of creating an innovative and sustainable cross-border destination .
