The project "POSEIDONE - Promotion of green and blue infrastructures dedicated to a new environment" has been approved by the Monitoring Committee of the Programme, by its written procedure no. 9 concluded on 27 April 2023.
POSEIDONE is one of the three projects of strategic importance envisaged by the Programme and it is addressed to the functional area of the Northern Adriatic Sea stretching from Chioggia to the end of the Slovenian coast, with the main objective of promoting local development on the basis of common needs and challenges and through interventions in three different areas: the protection of nature and biodiversity, the development of green and blue infrastructures (in Natura 2000 sites and in the agricultural sector) and the reduction of tourist pressure on natural parks.
The project's lead partner is the Gruppo di Azione Locale Venezia Orientale - VeGAL in partnership with 12 other partners.
The POSEIDONE project has an ERDF budget of EUR 3.5 million and a duration of three years. The project is scheduled to start on 1 January 2023.
