The days Wednesday, February 14th, and Thursday, February 15th, 2024, marked a crucial moment on the calendar of the BeBlue project - Interreg Italy-Slovenia.
With a stand managed by the staff of the three Italian partners, we participated in the Aquafarm trade fair, organized by Pordenone Fiere, in collaboration with API and AMA. This international exhibition, the most important in the aquaculture, mollusc farming, algae farming, and fishing industry sectors, represented a great opportunity to bring together key players and discuss fundamental issues related to plant technologies in aquaculture, feeds, and supplements for breeding waters.
The partners of the BeBlue project played an active role in this context, participating not only in conferences and workshops but also in disseminating the principles of aquaponics and discussing with many people the investment possibilities in this new production method. On this occasion, one of the participating partners distributed a questionnaire, via QR code, in order to identify the interested categories and understand the limits and attractions of aquaponics present in the collective imagination of sector professionals. During these two intense days, the stakeholder network was also expanded with 37 new memberships.
This event once again highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaborations in addressing the environmental and economic challenges of the aquaculture sector.
The same working group and the BeBlue booth will also be present at the NovelFarm fair on March 20-21.
