On March 27, the workshop "Beekeeping, Environment, Biodiversity" took place in Ajdovščina, organized by the Regional Development Agency ROD Ajdovščina, bringing together experts, researchers, and beekeepers from Slovenia and Italy. The event addressed key topics such as innovation, sustainability, and collaboration for the future of beekeeping and the protection of bees, essential to the ecosystem.
From the insightful study by the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia on the impact of emulsifiers, to environmental monitoring using solitary bees presented by the National Institute of Biology, through the local experiences shared by the Beekeeping Association J. Vodopivec Ajdovščina - Vipava, the digital technologies of Veneto Agricoltura with electronic beehives, and the new Bee2gether app introduced by the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico, up to the visit to the Lisjak beekeeping farm – it was a day full of valuable content, knowledge exchange, and new connections between Slovenia and Italy.
