On March 19, 2025, a group of international students, accompanied by teachers from the “G. B. Cerletti” Institute, took part in a study visit to the Vallevecchia farm. The activity was organized by Veneto Agricoltura within the framework of the Interreg BEE2GETHER project.
The initiative is part of deliverable D.4.3.1 – Ecological and evolutionary training programmes, aiming to engage younger generations with topics related to biodiversity and environmental protection through the role of bees. During the visit, students explored the importance of pollinators as biological indicators of ecosystem health, understanding how their monitoring enables the collection of essential data on environmental quality.
The programme also included a classroom presentation by Dr. Martino Rasera, collaborator of Veneto Agricoltura, who illustrated environmental monitoring activities carried out through bees and the contribution of the BEE2GETHER project in developing innovative tools for data collection and analysis.
