In a recent episode of the TV program S-Prehodi, broadcast on RTV Slovenia, Natali Panič Nardin, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Vipava, and Luca Pisk, Mayor of the Municipality of Savogna d'Isonzo, presented the cross-border project BEroots - Between Rivers and Lagoons: Artistic Routes, aimed at promoting and connecting two remarkable cross-border regions.
During the interview, the municipal representatives detailed the main goals of the project, which focuses on sustainable tourism, preserving local identity, and strengthening ties between Slovenia and Italy. Designed to enrich the tourist offerings of the area, the project includes artistic routes that give visitors a unique opportunity to explore the lesser-known natural beauty and artistic treasures of the region.
The BEroots project seeks to enhance sustainable tourism in the cross-border area, enrich the tourism offering, and promote inclusion across diverse target groups. Project activities not only foster cultural and artistic awareness but also strengthen the connections between the two municipalities. The artistic routes will provide visitors with a unique experience, allowing them to discover natural wonders and lesser-known artists who have contributed to the region's cultural heritage.
A key activity within the project will be the signing of a twinning agreement between the two municipalities, which will further solidify their collaboration and open new opportunities for regional development and promotion. With BEroots, a pathway is being created toward a long-term partnership that will benefit both the local population and visitors.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Elena Hus, host of the S-Prehodi TV program, for the opportunity to present the project to a wide audience.
