Last year, the ROD Ajdovščina Regional Development Agency launched a pilot seasonal bus and van transport service for cyclists within the Inter Bike III project. The bus route was cross-border, connecting Ajdovščina and Cividale del Friuli. The van route, on the other hand, was a local service between the Vipava Valley and Predmeja. Summer transport services for cyclists and hikers will continue this year as well, though with a few changes. Two local van lines will be available: one between Ajdovščina and Predmeja, and another between Ajdovščina, Vipava, and Nanos. Both will make it easier for passengers to bridge the elevation difference between the Vipava Valley and the plateau above it.
The shuttle service between Ajdovščina and Predmeja will begin operating on June 25, 2026. It will run once daily on Thursdays and three times daily on Sundays. The shuttle service between Ajdovščina, Vipava, and Nanos will begin operating on June 26, 2026. It will run once daily on Wednesdays and three times daily on Saturdays.
