The Regional Development Center Koper is once again launching the popular boat transport service for passengers and bicycles between the coastal towns. The service will be available from 1 July to 7 September 2025. The stops remain unchanged, while ticket prices have increased.
The boat Zlatoperka will operate twice daily on a circular route between Ankaran and Piran, every day except Mondays. Boarding and disembarking stops remain the same as in previous seasons:
• in Ankaran at the Valdoltra pier,
• in Koper along the outer shore of the parking area at Ukmar Square,
• in Izola at the pier in front of the Marina Hotel,
• and in Piran at the pier near the red lighthouse.
A new price list will be introduced this year, with separate ticket prices for adults and children up to 14 years of age. Ticket prices for adults range from 4 to 10 EUR depending on the selected route:
• Ankaran–Koper: 4 EUR
• Ankaran–Izola, Koper–Izola, Izola–Piran: 6 EUR
• Koper–Piran: 8 EUR
• Ankaran–Piran: 10 EUR
Children under the age of 14 pay half price.
Bicycle transport costs 1 EUR, regardless of distance. The boat can accommodate at least 10 bicycles. Seat reservations in advance are not possible.
The boat transport service is 80% co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme within the project ADRIONCYCLETOUR. The remaining funds are provided in equal parts by the Municipality of Koper and the municipalities of Ankaran, Izola and Piran. The contractual amount paid by the Regional Development Center Koper to the carrier is EUR 29,000 (VAT included).
