The Circular.Buildings project officially launches a Call for Expressions of Interest targeting construction professionals and companies interested in participating in the cross-border pilot actions planned under the project.
The initiative is open to Italian and Slovenian companies and professionals wishing to propose concrete project ideas and test innovative solutions aligned with the principles of circular construction and the progressive digitalization of the sector's processes.
Customized assistance to translate ideas into concrete actions
Pilot actions represent a concrete opportunity for personalized support. Selected participants will have the chance to be assisted by qualified professionals and experts—chosen from internal staff and project partners' consultants—with the aim of transforming project ideas into operational actions
In particular, the sixteen selected companies and/or professionals (8 Italian and 8 Slovenian) will benefit from targeted individual support focused on testing the innovations and best practices collected within the Circular.Buildings platform and other project initiatives (workshops, research, etc.). They will have the outstanding opportunity to access personalized expert support to verify the feasibility of the proposed innovations within their own operational context. This represents a strategic step toward ensuring the effective market transferability of circular building best practices and initiating virtuous cycles of sustainability and innovation.

A detailed description of the call for applications is provided below:
Step 1: Evaluation and shortlisting of project proposals
Within the application form, interested companies and professionals will be asked to identify and describe the managerial and/or technical solutions they intend to test, in line with their operational needs and the project’s objectives. Proposals will be evaluated based on expected results, their contribution to improving work processes, the potential positive impact on sustainability and cross-border circular construction, and the possible establishment of collaborations, including those of a cross-border nature. At the end of this first step, two separate rankings—one for Italian applicants and one for Slovenian applicants—will be drawn up based on the defined evaluation criteria.
Companies or professionals wishing to apply are invited to carefully review the OBJECTIVE EVALUATION CRITERIA provided at the end of the article.
Step 2: Interview
The top-ranked companies/professionals from the initial list will be contacted for an individual online interview, after which the final ranking will be drawn up
DESCRIPTION OF THE PILOT ACTIONS
Once selected, the identified companies and professionals will be able to test their proposed solutions under the direct guidance of an expert, aiming to assess their practical feasibility and effectiveness in real-world operations.
