The volume collecting the papers written by the young students and researchers who took part in the Pier Paolo Pasolini Cross-Border International High School entitled Between Nature and Culture: Sentimental Geographies and Linguistic Borders, carried out as part of the 4P cross-border project, is now available online.
The training program, scientifically directed by Angelo Favaro and promoted in collaboration with the Centro Studi Pier Paolo Pasolini of Casarsa della Delizia, involved 28 young participants from different European Union countries. From Casarsa to Idrija and Nova Gorica, the participants explored the key places in Pasolini’s biography and poetics, exploring the deep connection between landscape, anthropology, expressive languages and interlinguistic translation, with particular reference to the dialogue between the Italian and Slovenian languages.
The volume represents the first public presentation of the participants' intellectual work: the collected papers represent a crucial transition in which a shared educational experience is transformed into individual research, interpretation and cultural expression.
The publication covers an extraordinary plurality of forms of expression, including research essays, creative writing pieces, translations into the authors’ native language, screenplays and literary tourism projects.
