Within Activity 2.3, project partners are required to organize at least one local public awareness event during the implementation of the project, aimed at informing residents about the measures to be taken in the event of natural disasters and at emphasizing the importance of reducing the negative impacts of climate change.
In this way, we actively participated and created synergies with the Final Event of the IN4SAFETY project within the framework of the CROSS ALERT project.
The fair organized as part of the IN4SAFETY Final Event took place on Saturday, 18 October. Europe Square and the EPICenter were transformed into a large safety fair, open to all visitors. The day offered a rich program of activities designed to engage residents in an educational and participatory experience.
Visitors had the opportunity to take a closer look at the vehicles and equipment of firefighters, civil protection units, and forestry services, to watch spectacular simulations – including controlled explosions, rescue interventions, and fire extinguishing demonstrations – and to take part in thematic games with promotional materials and gadgets aimed at raising awareness among adults and children about the importance of safety.
Two of our partners also actively participated in the fair, presenting their activities and equipment within the framework of the CROSS ALERT project: the Civil Protection of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Municipality of Ajdovščina.
