On Friday, 24 April 2026, a cross-border meeting of civil protection representatives took place in Miren and Renče. The meeting aimed to present the facilities and equipment used by civil protection headquarters and volunteer fire brigades in the municipalities of Miren-Kostanjevica and Renče-Vogrsko.
Participants from the partner municipalities of Duino-Aurisina and Monfalcone visited the Civil Protection headquarters in Bilje, the premises of the Kostanjevica na Krasu Volunteer Fire Department, and the new equipment purchased by the Municipality of Renče-Vogrsko within the framework of the KARST ADAPT project. Slovenian colleagues also presented their organisation, working methods, and the equipment they use.
The presentation will contribute to a better mutual understanding of each other’s operational systems and ways of working. Similar meetings will be organised in the coming months for members of civil protection and volunteer fire brigades from the municipalities of Miren-Kostanjevica and Renče-Vogrsko.
