On Saturday morning, 22 November, the final èStoriaBus BeWoP of the year set off from Piazzale di Casa Rossa in Gorizia, taking 40 participants on a journey through the Soča Valley. The group was accompanied by three members of the organisational team, while expert guidance was provided by Andrea Bellavite.
The first stop was Most na Soči, where participants visited the village church, the small cemetery church at the top of the settlement, and ancient archaeological remains that could be brought to life through QR-code scans and digital reconstructions. From Most na Soči, the route continued to Kanal ob Soči. After a short lunch break, the group visited the Riko Debenjak Gallery, where they were greeted by photographer Jernej Skrt, author of the exhibition Tekoče bitje, dedicated to the Soča River.
The next stop was Solkan. During a short walk, participants explored the town and admired up close the magnificent Solkan Bridge – the longest single-arch stone bridge in the world, spanning an elegant 85 metres across the Soča River. The day concluded with a visit to the Tactile Gallery Art Beyond the Visible in Kromberk, where visitors experienced artworks specially adapted for touch, engaging all their senses in a completely new way. The group returned to Gorizia at 5:30 p.m.
The èStoriaBus BeWoP will set off on new journeys again next year.
