On 19 September 2025, the European project RECREATE – Interreg Italy-Slovenia held its final event in Slovenia at the International Craft Fair in Celje (MOS), the country’s most important trade fair in this sector.
The initiative attracted significant participation, both in person and online, thanks to the choice of a hybrid format. The presence of citizens and stakeholders from the programme area was further encouraged by the free bus service organised by the project, departing from Sežana with a stop in Ljubljana.
Key highlights of the day included:
the presentation of practical circular economy experiences by the Municipality of Spinea and the company Technol;
the presentation of project-produced documents, providing guidelines on treatment, transport and export of materials, aimed at companies and public administrations interested in replicating the model;
the promotion of online training courses, available on the project’s official website;
the reunion with stakeholders who have followed RECREATE throughout its various stages;
the opening towards new future initiatives and projects dedicated to the circular economy.
The event was an important opportunity for exchange and collaboration, confirming how cross-border cooperation between Italy and Slovenia can transform waste into new sustainable opportunities for communities and businesses.
