Cultural initiatives continue to prove themselves as an essential driving force for the development of cultural tourism, especially in a cross-border context such as that between Italy and Slovenia. This was demonstrated by the workshop “Connecting Culture and Creativity with Tourism”, promoted by the Luigi Bon Foundation and held in a hybrid format, both online and in person.
The event represented an important opportunity for discussion on how artistic and musical heritage can become a strategic lever to attract visitors, generate new opportunities, and create synergies between neighboring territories. At the heart of the debate was the role of Giuseppe Tartini, a prominent European figure, proposed as a symbol of a cultural legacy capable of uniting different cultures and communities.
Among the main topics addressed:
The context of the TARTINI BIS project
Strategies to enhance Tartini’s heritage through cultural initiatives
A shared action plan, with projects and collaborations of international scope
The contributions of Claudio Mansutti, director of the Luigi Bon Foundation, Alessio Flego, EU project designer, and Emilio Urbinati, project manager and tourism expert, highlighted the importance of integrating culture, creativity, and tourism to bring new value to precious artistic resources like those left by Tartini, and to build shared paths across borders.
